Movie #4 Horrible Bosses

Horrible Bosses (2011)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1499658/

This is a movie that I have wanted to see for a little while. Mostly because I'm a ginormous fan of Charlie Day. I do like Bateman and Sudeikis too. You don't need to be a genius to guess what this movie is about. Each of the three guys that I mentioned are friends and they all have awful bosses. Batemans boss, Kevin Spacey, is like a wall street kind of guy who got his power and now he is abusing it type of boss. Sudeikis boss is Colin Farrell, a wild drug addict who just took over the company after his father died. Charlies boss is Jennifer Aniston, a walking sexual harassment case.

The first 30 minutes or so pretty much just contains scenes of the three main characters getting walked over by their bosses. Some pretty goofy things happen, especially with Farrell who was super funny in this. The trim the fat people line was great. Jennifer Anistons body is in this movie a ton I just have to add. Poor Charlie.

Eventually, they can't take it anymore. One of them jokes that they should just kill their bosses. At first Bateman and Sudeikis are game but Charlie says no to murder. Then the next day Aniston blackmails Charlie with pictures of a time when she basically raped him so the murder plan is now a go. They go to a bar to find a good hit man but get kicked out for saying something racist. On their way out they get stopped by Jamie Foxx who says he can help them but it will cost $5000. Foxx is kind of funny in this, mostly because his name is Mother F$^%er Jones. He becomes their “murder consultant” because he isn't going back to jail and gives them the idea to kill each others bosses so it won't come back to them.

SPOILS

Not even going to type it out. They all get new bosses or leverage to stop the abuse. Would you expect anything else?

MORE WORDS NOW

Best Scene : Actually re-winded and watched this twice because it was so funny. The three of them are watching Farrell to try and get some info on him. They decide to get a closer look and go into his house. As they get to the driveway, the garage door opens. They have to quickly hide and Sudeikis kind of squats over Bateman. Hilarious. But then when the door is closing and they are trying to sneak in, Charlie slides into the door. Pushes the scene over the top.

Best Quotes : “You can't win a marathon without putting some band aids on your nipples.”
“You don't put a playground next to a bar. That's entrapment.”

Rating : 8 milk duds. Movie was supposed to make me laugh and it did.

Alternate Ending : Lets forget about the whole car chase and police involvement. The three main characters plan to get Spacey and Aniston together so they can frame him. It ends up not being very hard and after showing Spaceys wife the evidence, she divorces him and gets the company. Charlie just comes clean to his fiance about Aniston harassing him and she takes his word for it. Seems so simple.

What I would do if I was the main character : If I was Charlie I think you all know what would happen. If I was Sudeikis, I would probably just deal with Farrell and wait till he did something to get himself killed. Drugs and his way of living lead me to believe he wasn't going to be around for that long anyway. If I was Bateman, I probably would kill Spacey.

What happens in the sequel : Well they kind of already set up a sequel with the Bob Newhart ending. In Miserable Bosses the three main characters are still struggling. Bateman is getting the works from Newhart, Sudeikis should have never talked about his new boss being pregnant and Charlie peed on another playground. In the sequel, the three of them actually kill their bosses. Then they get caught because it would never have worked. The third movie is called Terrible Cell Mates.
